Who We Are
VOISA is a trading name of Vector Live Group (Pty) Ltd, a South African company registered under the Companies Act 71 of 2008. We operate a voice training academy and talent booking platform at voisa.co.za. We are the "responsible party" as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").
What Information We Collect
- Account data: your name, email address, and password hash when you register.
- Payment data: your first name, last name, and email address as submitted at checkout. Card and banking details are processed exclusively by PayFast — VOISA never sees, stores, or has access to your card details.
- Audio recordings: takes and demos you submit through the in-browser recording booth. These are stored securely and used only for coaching feedback.
- Usage data: pages visited, session duration, and device/browser type, collected via analytics cookies (only after you consent).
- Communication data: emails you send us, support requests, and coaching submissions.
Why We Collect It
- To provide our training courses, coaching feedback, and platform services.
- To process payments securely via PayFast.
- To send transactional emails relating to your account and purchases.
- To send promotional emails about new courses or features (only with your consent; unsubscribe any time).
- To measure site traffic and improve the platform (analytics only after cookie consent).
- To comply with our legal obligations under South African law.
How Long We Keep Your Information
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Payment transaction records are retained for 5 years to comply with the South African Companies Act. Audio recordings submitted for coaching feedback are retained for 12 months after submission, after which they are permanently deleted unless you request earlier deletion. Analytics data is retained for 26 months. You may request deletion of any of your data at any time (see "Your Rights" below).
Who We Share Your Information With
- PayFast (Pty) Ltd — payment processing. Your payment data is governed by their privacy policy.
- Resend Inc. — transactional email delivery.
- Base44 Ltd — our platform infrastructure provider (hosting, database).
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Your Rights Under POPIA
- Right of access: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correction: you may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Right to deletion: you may request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Right to object: you may object to us processing your information for direct marketing at any time.
- Right to lodge a complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at https://inforegulator.org.za.
